Here’s how it works: First, put the adjustable collar on the dog (the collar fits neck sizes from 7" to 27"). Adjust the easy-clip buckle collar so that it is snug around the dog’s neck. Next, turn the easy-to-use dial to select the desired stimulation level, which ranges from 1 to 8, or choose "T" for a beeping tone only. The appropriate stimulation level will depend on the size and temperament of your dog (a test light is included for your convenience). The middle (black) post on the collar detects the vibrations from your dog's vocal cords. It won't be triggered by other dogs barking or even loud noises; it responds only to your dog's barking. When the sensor detects the barking vibrations, it turns on both the beeping tone and the e-stimulation. This lets the dog know and motivates them to stop unwanted barking. Problem solved! Please note that the dial is marked with easy-to-read numbers for simple selection of the desired stimulation level.
